On the top of this page, you will find a listing of local areas with the vast majority in Michigan. Follow these links to find more detailed information on each area.

The state of Michigan has many great railfan opportunities, from a few busy mainlines to very sparsely ran tracks. This fine state is home to four Class I railroads: CSX Transportation, Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, and Norfolk Southern. There are many shortlines, along with other small railroading outfits. Amtrak also makes 10 one-way runs in the state, with trains running from Chicago to Grand Rapids, Chicago to Port Huron, and Chicago to Pontiac.

I hope you enjoy your visit to B1G - The Big Train! Even if you are not from the area, I hope you can find something here of interest! Thank you for stopping by and come back again soon! -- Zack Segur, www.railroadfan.com Webmaster
