Re: GLC Active locomotives
Is this RR ever going to fix their loco issues, or lease/buy something, as this seems to be a recurring problem with these guys??

Re: ADBF/JAIL Changes Made Under New Ownership
From what I have heard from railroaders, and what I have read in these pages and other RR publications--- these units may be old,and non- tech, but---that may be a selling point to certain RR that don't need/ want high-tech units. They are way easier to diagnose, and repair.

Re: ADBF/JAIL Changes Made Under New Ownership
Uh, we are over -- complicating this--- all I was trying to find out is the price they cost brand new, delivered from EMD, to the RR that ordered them------- as one of the posters already stated, that they were around. 200,000 dollars. Thank you for the answer.

The old spur to Lapeer grain is in place,on the west side of the street only--- a recent road re- paving has cut the spur off ,and the grain facility is supposed to be torn down, and made into a weed dispensary.

No, give them what they want-- no diesels in Cali., in trains, trucks, anything. No construction equipment, ambulances, concrete mixers, fire trucks--- get rid of it all. No trucks to deliver anything-- food, fuel, the same for trains. Then- try to run a state, with those rules.

Re: Auburn Road signals in Utica being removed
I have re- read my first post--and to explain, the pretend wording does not apply to the individual driver--- but rather the city,or township, or county where ever the track in question is. If the track is out of service,or is physically severed to NOT allow a train to pass , the governing powers wo...

Re: Auburn Road signals in Utica being removed
I used to have a CDL,and am aware of the significance of a RR track. My point is--- there is no physical way, that a train could be on those tracks, and seems to me that with all the communication, and tech stuff nowadays, that a city,or county would be aware of an abandoned,or dead track, and treat i...

Re: Auburn Road signals in Utica being removed
Wonder why the powers that be just don't take out or cancel the signs, and just pretend it is not there. The chances of having a train now running north of M59 are zero, so let's give it up already.

Re: ADBF/JAIL Changes Made Under New Ownership
Well, I remember reading somewhere, that the State of Mich. gave a grant to rebuild a bridge on PAINT CREEK TRAIL-- a walking/riding trail, so I would imagine that they could help to help to rebuild a small bridge to help with a potential industrial/ employment situation . We will see. Seems a littl...

Re: Michigan Rail business news redux
I used to work near that plant, when it was GM. There were a few tracks on the east side(rear) of that plant, but there also was a track or two on the west side,(Mound Rd.) that entered from the north, and one was alongside an exterior wall--- that might be the one taken in the pic. It's been awhile...
