Re: Amtrak Updates 12/12-12/31/2010

355 had the 28 leading 3 stupidliners and the 33 and 36 on the rear; now I know I wasn't going that fast, especially with an extra lead sled on the rear....

Re: NS locals on the Wabash?

L62 also switches out the IN interchange traffic and will take care of the elevator on what's left of the line that went to Delta, used to be there was a plastic place at the end of that line at S.RT. 15 that they would leave cars--not sure as I haven't been to Mtpel in YEARS....

Re: What happened to train 353?

Problems with the power--a bad wheel discovered--while sitting in PNT; train was annulled between PNT and AA with the Grey Dog bustituting. 350 was terminated at AA and the train flipped back to CHI as 353 minus the light unit you saw which was on it's way to PNT to lead 355 using 353's equipment wh...

Re: My Midwest Winter Roadtrip

The first shot east of Blakeslee looks like you were on C.R. 8.5 and were just south and west of Pergo with the IN connection: where the IN crosses 8.5 is where the IN will sometimes wait to get onto the NS into Mtpel. if their train is too long to fit between crossings just east of here and there i...

Oh wait, I said mech. dept. and crack and pronto.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ...

Re: CN Flint 12/5/10

The cars I would see them loading would be the PD hoppers; on MOST occasions that I have been by their siding, there would be btw 4-8 cars there; I imagine the regular CH would be for Lapeer Grain in either Lapeer or Imlay City.
