While we are on the subject, Z627 was also through Grand Haven around 7:30am. they went dead just south of Sternburg road. MMRR 3836 was the only locomotive pulling 31 cars north.
also just heard them blowing through muskegon heading south along airline road around 9:45ish.

A late Z627 went north through Grand haven around 7:30 this morning. MMRR 3836 was the only unit puling 31 cars. It went dead just south of Sternburg at 7:45. the 12:00 crew brought them the rest of the way to the yard.

z627 southbound through Grand Haven at 11:30 tonight. Lead loco was CF&E 3885 trailing loco was GRE 3839 they had good 30 car consist with them, mostly sandies.

You would be correct in guessing that it was MMRR. Z627 went south through Grand haven around 12:30. I was in Holland and it slipped out right under my nose. Just missed it. It went north with another Large train, all Sandies.
