Re: Adrian & Blissfield reefer traffic?
Hi all, I recently saw a cut of ~10 reefers parked on Adrian & Blissfield. Does anyone have any idea where these might’ve come from/where they might be going? As far as I was aware, the only reefer traffic in MI was on CSX (Lake Odessa, Lansing, etc). However, these are typically cryotrans, whereas...

Re: Adrian & Blissfield reefer traffic?
Where were they? At first guess, I'd say storage or scrapping too. They were in Lansing, in what I assume was an ADBF storage yard. Would they be storing these for a different RR? Or does ADBF serve any reefer customers? When referring to ADBF ops in Lansing, that is *technically* the Jackson & Lan...

Autorack branding? Noob question
Hey all, I have a question about the branding on autoracks. It’s common to see a cut of racks with TTGX reporting marks, presumably owned by TTX. It’s also common for these cars to be branded with the logos of various railroads, like UP, CSX, NS, etc, despite bearing the TTGX reporting mark. What’s ...

Scenic places to railfan?
Hi all, I have a couple questions for you Michigan railfans: 1. I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations for scenic places to go watch & photograph trains? I’m in Lansing, but anywhere within a reasonable driving distance is welcome. For example, the CSX bridge in Grand Ledge. With the bridge, wo...

Re: Newbie question about interchanges
Hey there - that sounds like a really great spot to get some practice in! I’m only about 30 minutes away from Durand, so I’ll definitely be checking it out. Thanks a lot!

Re: Newbie question about interchanges
Thank you. While I do enjoy filming and watching them, I struggle with getting quality photos when the trains are rolling, so really just looking for some places that they’re stopped for a while. I appreciate your comment though

Re: Newbie question about interchanges
Thanks for that info! I liked the spot in Howell because you’re able to get close-ish to the train without trespassing, but I’m not sure if that’s really possible in a yard. Either way, I appreciate your comment :D hopefully someone else will come along with insight into what’s going on at the Howel...

Newbie question about interchanges
Hi all, I recently visited the CSX/GLC interchange in Howell, and I’m wondering if there are any other spots like this where the trains are laid up for a while and not moving? Hoping to get some cool photos of different types of cars like various boxcars or autoracks. In general, is an interchange t...
