Why even attempt to "sneek" a rather lackluster image on there?
You know it's flawed, why would you place it among what's supposed to be your best works?
quality over quantity..

save it, and open it in a photo editor. It's rough at 1024x700.

the shot is mostly varying shades of gray, increase the contrast.

It will help reduce flare, keep the glass dry, and in a worse case scenario, a cushion if you drop the camera.
