Re: NY State CSX Derailment?
Has their been a derailment or something closing a CSX line North of Pennsylvania? My dad has seen a bunch of CSX trains go west on the NS Reading line. Wondering if they are re-routes. Indeed there was a derailment at Ravena, New York. Detours were seen on NS's Harrisburg Line, Reading Line, Port ...

Re: I Like It...
Keep it in your collection or post it to GrainElevatorPics.net because that's what the eyes are drawn to, not the locomotive. It's also just sitting there not hooked up to any cars or appearing to be doing anything which makes the shot basically a glorified roster shot, which RailPics seems to not l...

Re: lololololololololololol why so red??
ok yea thats what i figured but with durand there are not many options on that side. thanks for you feedback. Dont know what you are talking about, there is a perfect spot on that side. All you had to do was go over the the dead end street on the other side of the tracks, and there you be. It's mor...

Re: NS updates 8/8-8/14
The OCS (956) is coming north and is currently between Lexington and Cincinnati on its way to Altoona. It's doubtful though that it will stop somewhere overnight because I believe this is a deadhead move. EDIT: Cincy crew has been called to take train over Dayton District to Columbus so more than li...

CSX OCS in Ohio
The CSX OCS train is currently sitting in Parsons Yard in Columbus and will overnight there. The train is expected to depart westbound early in the morning, probably around 0700 or 0800. I believe its symbol is P-920 with CSX 9998 leading.
Will post more info as it comes.

Tonight's Q-107
Last night's Q-106 ran with BNSF 700 and two CSX Dash-8s and tonight's Q-107 will run with the same set of power. Whether the power is wyed or not is up to the crew. They go on duty at 7:00 PM and the train usually leaves between 8:00 and 9:00 (usually closer to 8:00 though).

Re: derailment on NS ?
Just a guess as I dont have my maps with me in Chicago, but sounds like the line to Ashtabula, and the coal docks. Now where those streets are are anyones guess. I believe that is the dispatching desk that controls the old NKP fomr Celeveland east, and the Ashtabula line, pluss a small something el...

Re: NS Locomotive Update 8/1 to 8/7/10 (NSDash9.com)
NS has also leased some PRLX SD40-2Ts (not certain on numbers yet). They've had their Union Pacific markings removed but still retain their UP numbers with a small black "PRLX" patch under the number.

Re: NS OCS Friday?
Crew was called at Bellevue for 1800. I hung out in Marion until sundown and as I was leaving the dispatcher was imploring L39 to get in the clear because he "had a hotshot out of Bellevue (as well as a coal train at Worthington)".

Re: NS OCS Friday?
I *think* the routing has been confirmed - down the Rathole via Bellevue and Columbus. According to TO, it's due in Cleveland around 1400, however updates outside of the West Slope region are scarce.
EDIT: For what it's worth, it was by Alliance as of 1305. Cleveland at 1430.

Re: CSX Q132-05 heads up
Came through Kenton between 1 and 2 as S-132 (to be honest, I'm not a huge stickler about time so I'm not exactly sure) and met Q-233 with UP power at CP-65. Meanwhile Q-233 should be getting near Sidney now with Q-349 and Q-133 behind him. Q-233 is a small train; 36 axles over the milepost 76 detec...

I was down there on my way back from the rrfan meet in DUUUUSHLER, and got yelled at by some locals... Really busy street if my memory serves me correct... Yep. An extremely busy street (main north-south drag through town, can't remember the route number), however there is an open lot across from s...

Re: Ohio Central/LTEX 7 Unit lashup in Columbus
Could be but also just could be a diffrent CSX routing. Willard is a holding area for LETX equipment. Might take Q635 to Waillard and then the local to New Castle. When does Q635 run? I'd like to catch them headed north with the 5 engines on board. We missed them coming into Columbus, heard them on...

Too much on the bottom, not enough on the top, not enough on the right. Unfortunately the switch is going to have to come out and if you cropped any of the sky out it's going to have to be put back in.
