Re: Deshler vs. Fostoria vs. Berea
My opinion...10 years ago would have said Fostoria, but city has gone to the dogs, or should I say taken over by crime, don't feel safe, seems to be echoed by many people I talk with, even local residents. Is too bad, as I enjoyed my times there with my sons. Berea has great action but lacks a diamo...

Re: Toledo Branch Stuff
Technically you are correct...did not know where else to put this info. as thought it might be valuable for folks out trying to catch some BNSF power here in Ohio. Being new, should I have attached this info. elsewhere ? Scottslawn section maybe, if there is one. Thoughts ?

Re: NS Sandusky District Symbols South of Bellevue
Also have heard that the heartland corridor is to open in Sept. / Oct. of this year with 6 new trains south of Columbus on NS, 3 north (west) and 3 south (east) from Norfolk to or from Columbus. Tunnels must be near completion ? Any news on this ? Any trains that would complement or tie in with them...

B&O (BNSF) Happenings - II
Around 11 this morning, CSX pumped both N820 and N859, both loaded BNSF coal trains through Deshler, one right behind the other. Both has two units aboard. Cincy to Toledo line dead except for long G009 that ran up from Lima to Custer, dropped all cars at Custer and came back light to Lima, as well ...

Re: Toledo Branch Stuff
Q267 - BNSF Chicago Blue Island to Honda Marysville has also been running more and seems to be sure bet for BNSF power, 2 units is most common. Runs south on the old C&O to Marion then west to Ridgeway then south again to Honda. Has been seen in Marion between 12 to 2 PM and I caught it in Mt. Victo...

Re: Toledo Branch Stuff
Drove through Kenton today and noticed CSX road power, 2 six axles sitting on the south side near the elevators, seems to always be some power there. Elevator was being switched by an orange trackmobile. Also LOTS of steel coil cars next to a warehouse at that same location. Steel dist. site ?

Re: CSX Train Numbers
I will try my hand at adding some missing CSX train numbers / new ones seen at Marion recently via Wiki. I have never "wicked" before, though there was that one time mom said something about taking that course in basket "wicking" or was it weaving ?

Pizza / italian place across the street from the track (15 yards) GREAT as well - good Calzones ! Gas station ...
