Re: college student hit by train
This line through BG is getting to be a liability for CSX. One good law suit and it may be all over as a through route.[/quote] :?: CSX is not going to shut a line down because of their tracks going through a collage town. I don't think anyone would have a valid lawsuit if you got hit by a train bec...

Re: Assaulted in Fostoria
This was the point I presented to that dumb *explative* Ellen this summer in Fostoria. The town is a complete craphole, and it will never be a successful railfan park. Glad to hear you're okay, I would suggest not going back. Though I agree with you about Fostoria not being a great place for a rail...

As a railfan it would have been nice, but in it's proposed form it was not viable and would have given little to no return on investment. Send the money to somewhere where it makes sense.
Nice reply man just nice

Re: The Bluebird/ Applebutterfest =CORRECTION=
We will be running trips over the bridge in Grand Rapids up to route 65 and then back up until ludwig road. We will be useing Motorcars not the train to run this. Right now there will be 2 motorcars, one on each end and 4 cars with seats for passengers in the middle. It will be run in a push-pull fa...
Re: The TLE&W
We have not had the Bluebird in Grand Rapids since 2000. The motorcar rides will be before the culvurt so it won't affect us. Hope to see you there if you are going!
Re: The TLE&W
Wow sounded like you had fun! We will be giving rides soon for the Grand Rapids Applebutter Festivel. It goes from ludwig road across the bridge and ends jst before crossing 65 in Grand Rapids. I belive the tickets will be $2 one way.
Re: The TLE&W
I say leave it all there. Don't junk any of it. But for the love of God, get that freakin' line rebuilt and start running the Bluebird from the south side of the Maumee all the way to Waterville! They only own up to Dutch Road on the north side of Waterville. NS owns it the rest of the way in. :) W...
Re: The TLE&W
I thought the track was cut just south of Village Parkway in Waterville as well. No Physical Connection with the NS. Edit: Found this on Google Streetview, the rail is unattached but easily reattached, I thought there was actual rail missing on the other side of the street but the weeds are too hig...

Re: Annie GP35 model
No super detailing...it wouldn't be worth it with the ultra wide carbody the old Athearn GP35's had. Someday I'll be able to invest in some high quality motive power, for now the best power I've got is a couple Proto 2000 engines and an old Atlas C424. The Athearn blue boxes work fine for a road fr...

Re: The TLE&W
Hi, At one time there were 6 cabooses listed for the TLE&W in Grand Rapids, OH: I believe that the 2 that are returning to nature in what is now a jungle are: Wood, cupola, C&O 90864 and steel, cupola C&O 903667. Two that I still list as GR are: Steel, bay window, NKP 466/N&W 557566 and steel, cupo...
