I have heard more trains than usual on the HESR Owosso sub being both GLC and HESR. I'm guessing this must be a peak season for freight on this line? Sometimes up to 3 or 4 a day. Does anybody have any insight as to why that may be? Thanks, Ian

That would be correct. They will be stored with the other ex Metra bi-level cars near the engine shops in Owosso.

If you look at the Detroit People Mover it costs Detroit $3.00 to operate for every $0.50 rider fare. I'm pretty sure that the price to ride hasn't gone up. It seems like a waste to extend an already cost ineffective system.

That's cool thanks for the info. I can still remember watching when the HESR would bring ammonia down to a facility just west of Delaney but unfortunately not anymore. It's sad in a way to see those cool little shortlines used for storage.
