Re: I like the Outcome...
DTRR 103 at Sunrise: http://www.flickr.com/photos/csxt1534/6891176618/in/photostream Poorly composed and Underexposed locomotive. Statements like this do absolutely nothing to help the person learn why it's underexposed or why the composition (in your opinion) is wrong. If he was shooting a silhoue...

Re: I like the Outcome...
Poorly composed and Underexposed locomotive. It needs more space on the right side. Maybe a little bit of fill flash would've helped, too. Nice attempt!

Re: NS 8098 Chase
Looks like you had a successful chase, too! I caught it in Mansfield, Crestline, and Bucyrus, but once it hit the Sandusky District, it was gone; impossible to chase.

Trains From the Sky and on the Ground From the Past Few Days
On February 26th, my friend and I went flying over Fostoria and saw a few trains sitting and one moving in that area. We first flew over Carey, which is where CSX had two locomotives sitting… http://www.flickr.com/photos/47491339@N04/6789201320/ NS had a lot of locomotives sitting on the east end of...

Railfanning Greenwich, OH on 2/18/2012
On February 18th, I joined a group of railfans from the Ohio Railroader Facebook group to go watch trains around Greenwich, Ohio. We first started off at Ken Heyl’s HO-scale model train layout in Ashland, Ohio. Then, we checked out Nova, Ohio, which is where we saw the Nova interlocking tower. I cli...

Re: Railfanning Worthington, Ohio - 2/17/2012
The train then had an air hose disconnect. The train went into emergency and the car with the broken hose was about five car lengths down from the Park Road crossing. Since it was National Random Acts of Kindness Day, I decided to walk to the head-end to tell the crew where the break was. Sounds li...

Railfanning Worthington, Ohio - 2/17/2012
After going to the gym on February 17th, I went to Powell Road to watch trains. When I arrived NS 235 was at Cooke Road and it soon passed under the overpass. http://www.flickr.com/photos/47491339@N04/6893919335/ Then I migrated down to Flint to catch the remainder of the trains. First to come throu...

A Day Spent Trackside on Columbus, OH's North Side
After my class, I went to Powell Road to see what was happening. When I arrived NS L3J was at Weber Road and 576 was at Troyton. L3J was the first to show up and I shot it from the overpass. http://www.flickr.com/photos/47491339@N04/6884496149/ Then 576 showed up soon after. http://www.flickr.com/ph...

Derailment and Aerial Train Chasing - 2/13/12
8) First off, I saw NS 218 at Cheshire Road, but that wasn’t nearly as fun as what was to come later in the day! http://www.flickr.com/photos/47491339@N04/6872815875/ As many of you know, I flew over the CSX derailment in Greenwich, Ohio. My friend Lew was the pilot and we took off from Marion Munic...

Derailment in Greenwich?
I heard there was a derailment in Greenwich. Where exactly was it? I'm going to fly over it this afternoon.
