Re: My First Good Snow Shots of the Year 1/2/12

Nice collection, Brandon. Do you do any wide angle distortion correction? The reason I ask is because in the last shot, the train looks a little squashed. My First Good Snow Shots of the Year 1/2/12

After dropping my brother off at OSU, I managed to convince my dad to go train watching with me at Flint along the Sandusky District. Once we arrived there, I noticed a westbound was lined through the intermediate signal. I turned on the laptop, fired up the ATCS Monitor, and it showed the train was...

A Busy Day With Lotsa Cool Stuff at Marion, Ohio 12/26/11

The day started in a disappointing manner when I realized that I wouldn’t be able to pick up my new lens from the post office because they were still on their Christmas break. Nonetheless, I still made my way to the tracks at Cheshire Road south of Delaware. A few weeks ago, I received written permi...

The sharpness at 400mm on my lens is kinda bad, so I try to keep it around f/8 and bump up the ISO.

Re: Circleville to Portsmouth, Ohio and All the Trains We Sa

I would imagine it is difficult to perform switching duties at night and especially in the cold like L5R was doing. Looks like the gate was down where they broke down which will make the motorists none too happy :x They were having trouble re-gaining air after losing it all at one point. The train ...

Circleville to Portsmouth, Ohio and All the Trains We Saw

Hello all! :D Yesterday (Saturday December 10, 2011), Geoff and I went south to see some Norfolk Southern and CSX trains.
