Re: LSRC Train derails in Saginaw
I totally disagree with Evan. This is not about human error. This is about brazen nonfeasance fueled by human greed. Given that, apparently, many of the derailments occur in the same place --- right outside the LSRC offices --- we can make several observations. First, LSRC Management clearly knows ...

Re: LSRC Train derails in Saginaw
That looks to be the spur to Wabash (former Wicks) not used much at all may just have had some unforeseen issue buried in the snow. Seems to me LSRC does just fine on trackwork as I often see them working around Saginaw....a few weeks ago they were working in force on the bridge over the Saginaw ri...

Re: "old" new engine for LSRC
The 371--2052 & 5921 were all purchased in 2005...the 2003 and 2052 were the bought before they aquired Saginaw & the 5921 was aquired shortly after. Thanks! Edits made. Now all that table is missing are pictures for three of the new units...unless there are names for some of the other un...

Re: "old" new engine for LSRC
These new units are now LSRC now, correct? I wanna make sure they're not still CITX. Also, I plugged in a lot of unit history information into the LSRC Wiki Roster tonight. If anyone sees something wrong (quite possible, I used RRpa as the main resource, and I'm not perfect) either edit it yourself...

I've added the 3095 to the wiki: http://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/Lake_State-Saginaw_Bay_Southern#Current_LSRC_Locomotive_Roster Now, I've assumed that thse new SDs have had their Reporting marks changed to LSRC. Can anyone confirm? Hello MQT i caught the Z127 on Thursday for power was the 205...

Re: What kind of locomotive...
Hi all! I know, I'm on a thread roll. No hatin' :D Anyway, I was wondering what type of locomotives Amtrak/MDOT/IDOT would be getting after 2015 (the bi-level deliveries). The MI State rail plan indicates new locomotives, but not what type. Does anyone know? You can also speculate on which would be...

According to this months Trains Magazine the LSRC route to Gaylord is a military primary route. Does Grayling even ship anything by rail anymore out of the base? Does this mean even if Gaylord didnt ship anything does the military have a say in if the route stays intack to Grayling? At least the ro...
