Re: Durand MI, Queston
Wow, it's been a while since I've seen Durand that busy! Although around 2008-2009 I saw three trains (?) at once there, a westbound was stopped just east of Newburg Road, a GLC train parked to the south, and an eastbound passing by. I wish Durand was like that all the time. I suppose once we are co...

Re: Durand MI, Queston
I heard on another board not to long ago that Tuesday and Thursday are supposed to be the busiest days.

Is it safe? - Marion OH
I am very interested in railfanning in Marion, and was wondering if it is a relatively safe city, or if it's a bit like Fostoria?

Re: Toledo Question
I'm guessing the NS Chicago Line is the busiest line through Toledo considering every time I pass over it, theres a train coming in the distance. I'm not great with knowing places to watch the trains though.

Re: What was SEMTA?
I wonder if theres a chance if these trains will come back. With the possibility of the SEMCOG route being established I wonder if their will be talks of adding this route as another commuter line.

Re: Poison Ivy! If it's climbing a tree you shouldn't!
I was at a secluded park between Durand and Bancroft last June, and I ended with minor Poison Ivy rashes on my legs and arms, but the Ivy wasn't nearly as bad as the rash I had from the Nettle plant that was right next to the Poison Ivy, which luckily only lasted a few minutes. Serves me right for t...

Dalton, GA webcam
I'm not sure if everyone knows about this cam, but theres a railcam in Dalton, Georgia that faces a CSX and NS main line that are both pretty darn busy! I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think their seems to be a greater variety of locomotives through there, such as BNSF, HLCX, and occasionally an...

Re: Durand MI, Queston
After church, I occasionally head to the Flint Sub in Swartz Creek, and every time, I saw a train, usually eastbound. These trains usually come not long after noon, so if your at Durand around noon, you may catch a couple.

Butler
I have been to Butler, Indiana a couple of times now, and I, being worried I'll end up trespassing, stayed in the car and just drived back and forth through the town repeatedly to make sure I caught all the action. I was wondering if theirs a good, public spot near the diamonds that won't make me lo...

Re: Port Inland Railroad
Had no idea this little railroad even existed! I knew there was a line up their, but I always figured this was just a branch line owned by CN. I like the paint scheme.

Hello!
Hello! This is my first post here, but I have known about this board for years now. This site has been my main source of news for the railroads around Michigan, especially the CSX updates. I'm glad to be part of this board, and maybe post some train updates also every now and then!
