As much as I love the smell of coal smoke, oil does has its advantages when your on the road constantly in and out of foreign terminals.

This project was talked about a while ago and then it went away..hopefully things work out and we get to see 614 back out again.

I'm not sure what I think about the conversion to Bio; there are pros & cons for both.

Drove through New Buffalo yesterday (Sun.) and was amazed to a crew working in the yard....Is the yeard still mostly used for storage? whats goin on with the building just west of the coal tower? it looked abandoned and I didnt see any CSX markings on it? Signal dept. still use it?

Whats goin on with the 469? Last I read somewhere it was out of service? Is it still in Alpena?

do they use both of the engines? Where are they at exactly?

Couple other minor corrections (and additions) for the C&O steam list: The 1309 is at the B&O museum in Baltimore,MD The 1308 is on display in Huntington,WV. The 2760 is on display in Lynchburg,VA I have pictures somewhere, but that will take a while to find... The engines in Richmond and Logan are ...

Not exactly...

Most of the remaining E units around still have 567 or newer prime movers...parts for these type of engines are easily available....in fact, some locomotive dealers are puchasing E units for the sole purpose of parting the locomotives out.
