Re: Ann Arbor Railroad Tracker
They are able to rebuild locomotives since WLE rebuilds their own there. In some other news, AA 7802 from what I just heard has returned looking the same way. They also paired it up with 2373 for the move back in to the yard too.

Re: Ann Arbor Railroad Tracker
As of this afternoon (about 1:30pm) - AA 7802 is still gone. One of the yellow units was in the shop, 1337 was sitting by some autoracks. Another yellow unit was switching some hoppers. And NS was in there getting ready to leave with a single SD40-2.

Re: Rumor has it.......
The GLC and AA would not even have enough crews for more than a handful of trains. They would simply take the NKP out of Chicago to Ft. Wayne and then up the Wabash to Butler and back to the Chicago Line and then run the hottest trains via CSX. Then how come CN and NS run some trains over the line ...

Re: Rumor has it.......
This whole Rumor where trains are coming into Michigan on these super longs reroutes just does not sound legit to me at all. (now if we start talking trains on the Michigan line then ill start talking   ) Now THAT would be a ton more likely. Just be careful with the taller cars ...

Re: Ann Arbor Railroad Tracker
That'd be the next town east of Bellevue. It's either going to LTEX in McDonald, OH or to the WLE Brewster Shops to the east. It's hard to say as it could go to either, if it was farther out there we'd be able to tell whether it was on CSX's line or past there. (which is how we'd tell what's happeni...

Re: Rumor has it.......
Even if this is true, the biggest hurdle would probably be these lines are mostly single track. Especially for GLC and AA. In order for it to work, going based on a talk with a friend - they'd want to reroute trains only one way, otherwise they'd most likely have problems.

From Facebook, a few minutes ago: "Dont know why, but on my way to work at Willard, on Q015, I passed the WLE train from Toledo, and forth out was the AA 7802 heading toward Monroville."

Ah, nice to know. I thought for a moment they might of opened up a Cargill plant somewhere up north, but that makes more sense.AARR wrote:I heard they were loading Cargill covered hoppers and Shepherd. Shepherd usually ships smaller blocks while Middleton and Oakley usually ship 65-90 car blocks.

Re: Ann Arbor Railroad Tracker
The southbound AA cleared Detroit Ave a short bit before noon today.
They also had a few Cargill hoppers on the train, anyone happen to know where those would of come from? I've been seeing Cargill hoppers in the yard recently too.

I'd guess the GP38-2 just because BC Rail power seems to be common recently, and who knows? Maybe they'll send up more!Chrisracer8903 wrote:I can't tell what is more rare in that consist; the BC Rail unit or that a GP38-2 is leading a road train.

That's actually the same BC Rail I caught heading south the day before, it was trailing on a train with a lash up of CSX/HLCX/CSX/BC RailChrisracer8903 wrote:Another freaking BC Rail unit!? That's the second one within a week!SW wrote:Q322 cleared Plymouth. CSX 8562 + BCOL 4606 + 93 cars.

Re: Ann Arbor Railroad Tracker
There was a maintenance truck this morning on the Ann Arbor that came up to State Line and got off to wait for a train. At about 8:45am, a northbound CN cleared with 4 locomotives - 3 CN and a blue BC Rail trailing. They were going about walking speed after clearing.

Which one's leading - the CN or the BC Rail? Just wondering, since I might go out to catch it north of Toledo later.atrainguy60 wrote:CSX Q321 is coming into Holly, MI. It has a BC Rail and a CN leading.

Re: TLEW News?
I saw them cut the rail, then drag it away. It tore up the ties along there, and then they left. Also, they took away all spikes and tie plates too.

Sounds to me it's a regular GP38, I have heard people called it a -2 but that just doesn't make sense. Since when did Ann Arbor actually rebuild their own locomotives?

Re: Ann Arbor Railroad
Last I heard, they'll most likely be using 7802 until it has a major problem occur to it, which could happen in a few weeks or in a few years. Hopefully it's the latter.ConrailMan5 wrote:As for condition, it has been on the death row rumor for a while now, so get your photos while you can.
