Re: CSX reviewing lines for potential sales
Hope LSRC gets most of the remaining PM lines. Would be nice to see more trains running from Saginaw. This is bittersweet though since CSX is my favorite Class 1 but I'd rather these lines have the chance to flourish again and reinvigorate local communities than flounder in the hands of a company th...

So what CSX trains operate to Flint now?
With the abolishment of the GR-Flint-Toledo locals, what regularly scheduled trains go to Flint now?

Just witnessed an unusual movement on the Dean Sub
Was just at Mershon Interlocking to witness an eastbound empty coal train on LSRC. One of the MP15ACs was in the lead with a GP unit on the rear headed toward Saginaw Yard. Unfortunately I was in a rush so I didn't grab my camera and my phone was charging so I left that behind too. I'm going to gues...

Re: Csx Plymouth sub traffic.increase?
D705/D706 are done, last D705 out of Stanley will be tomorrow. New trains D701 and D702 starting next week, GR to Flint, 6 days a week. It sounds like for now all traffic from Flint and GR will be routed via Chicago until a GR to Willard or Cincinatti train is implemented. Interesting. Where do you...

Re: Railfanning Chicago
Thanks! My main railroads im going to Chicago for are BNSF and CN, I dont mind going into the worse parts of Chicago, and my main goal for going to Chicago is to see a EX BN patched unit before their all gone. Is that narrowed down enough? Chris For BNSF, there's Joliet and just about any location ...

The number on the cab side; if someone could tell me the name of this typeface it would be much appreciated!

Considering that Fostoria is one of the busiest railfanning hotspots in the nation with at least 100 daily movements, the best advice I can give you is to go see for yourself.

Re: Where's the coal?
To my knowledge, Marysville coal trains have never used the Plymouth sub. MSU has converted their power plant to natural gas and torn out most of the track in their facility, so you'll never see a coal train there again. The Essexville coal is currently on a BNSF-CN-HESR routing, and if and when it...

Re: LSRC 4325
LSRC railroad has a newly painted loco in 25th Anniversary paint. It's a GP40-3 and just like literally came outta the paint booth. Looks awesome! LSRC 4325. That was seen at Metro East Industries in East St. Louis, IL. Wonder if it will go via the Saginaw Sub or via the CN Flint Sub and HESR. Prob...

That"s not the spot unfortunately. That"s the old spurs into Eaton Mfg. The inter-modal ramp is just north of that in the bushes, I was there Monday morning and to my shock it is almost totally intact. When your on Jefferson Ave BamaSub if your traveling south on Jefferson just across the HESR trac...

Should've saw that one coming. Still though, there seem to be hoppers lined up at the elevator almost every time I pass through Carrollton.

When can the LSRC job for Peavey Grain in Carrollton be seen? It seems to operate during daylight but has always eluded me.
