CP Trains on the Wabash
I was wondering if someone on here could tell me some of the train numbers that CP runs on the Wabash Line? I want to know the names/IDs of common trains the CP runs along the line, particularly Eastbounds. I'm trying to ID a train in a photo I took, but have no knowledge of CP train numbers on that...

Re: Jackson & Lansing equipment
Also - In regard to your comment about Saginaw Yard being more active, the whole JAIL line has increased business significantly since the take over, just not in Lansing. There's just not anything up there anymore for them. JAIL has really encouraged business along the line and has very competitive r...

Re: Jackson & Lansing equipment
I meant it more for use with CSX and CN, an I would listen it there for when JAIL requests permission to pass at Cedar interlocking and at MA tower. Also, another off-topic question, yet still pertains to J&L. Does anyone know if the plans to use the LS&MS spur in Old Town fell through, or are they...

Re: Jackson & Lansing equipment
Well, yeah, it's lighter rail than what you'd find on the mainlines. Yeah, makes a ton of sense. Did trains used to pass through the west side and through Saginaw yard more often before Adrian and Blissfield? Like, was it ever really an active location? It was when the General Motors plant was ther...

Re: Jackson & Lansing equipment
I believe that the Regional Steel Distribution Center (RSDC) has the same work schedule as the auto plants they supply, so I wouldn't expect to see a lot of steel coil cars until after New Years day. Also, from what I've seen over the years MPC will be down for several days too. As far as JAIL goes...

Re: Lake State Railway at East Tawas, MI
You know, before this visit, I hadn't been to Tawas in twenty years. Does anyone know what happened to the old DTM shops and roundhouse there? Bulldozed and part of the line was relocated to make room for a Walmart. Wow! So that's why the line curves so violently near Walmart. Man, the things you m...
