Re: TSt.L&C

Sure lease as many as you want, probably good they don't sit dormant but it won't do any good for the other 30+ lol. Thanks! They'll be put to good use. What kind of condition are they in? We'll be sending some people over to check them out and pick the ones we want. They are in OK condition, some ...

Re: Chicago Central & Pacific RR

The CC&P will be leasing anywhere from 5 to 10 TSCR C40-8s for the big grain and ethanol rush coming this fall. They are currently sitting unused in TSCRs shops in Chicago. We will be sending a handful of people to pick them out later this week. We hope to have them on property by September for spec...

I have the former CC&P through the heart of Iowa, but that's not in the group, so as far as I know, you can have it.

Send a few of the Armstrong levers, too. That's probably about the best you could do, I'd be afraid to move that thing...

Re: The Detroit Southern RR

Been awhile since I posted on this one, so here we go: As for roster changes, the DSR has purchased 5 former GT/DWP SD40s from NREX. These engines are unique, as they are some of the last straight SD40s around. They currently still retain their original schemes, with 2 being in CN North America pain...

Re: Detroit and Western Railway

If you join the group, you can't have the DT&I, as I operate that trackage from Detroit to Washington Court House under the Detroit Southern RR, as well as all the branch line trackage in Springfield, including the stretch from Urbana to Cold Springs (via Maitland). We can interchange with you in De...

If your not going to use the C40-8s, the CC&P would like to lease 5-10 of them, as unit trains (grain, ethanol, and stone) will be ramping up starting in September...

Re: CSX YN3B Paint Thread

First Standrard Cab C40-8 in YN3B? Uhh no, 7542 had it by April: And 7644 a few weeks ago... Anyway, 7589 is a new repaint from YN2. Look for it over there in a minute... 7562 just turned the corner at Deshler leading Q342 to Willard. Looked really fresh. Saw that 7562 on Saturday night on Q501-03 ...

Re: IORY North End

Interesting that a block of coiled steel loads are going north. I've heard of a carload or two might go from Lima to Ottawa. Would anyone know why a block would go north? Maybe to the place (not North Star, the other place, ???County Steel) in Delta? I&O LNL southbound It was a southbound train, AA...

Re: IORY North End

I&O LNL southbound, past DT&I Junction and back onto the IORY main at around 2pm. One of the CF&E GPs, I think 3888, leading IORY 4070 and a moderate sized train, composed nearly all of coiled-steel loads (NOKL, IHB, CSX, & BNSF coil cars, plus NOKL gons with open coils), aside from a pair of covere...

Re: The Monon RR (Chicago, Indianapolis & Louisville)

The coal trains will start as soon as the old contracts expire, which is the end of the month. Lansing wants their trains on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, West Olive wants theirs the 3rd Tuesday...be happy with that because they wanted the same day. At least having common days will make our opera...

Re: The Monon RR (Chicago, Indianapolis & Louisville)

I've got good news and bad news. Alright, bad news first: Consumers Power in Essexville just got a better bid from an eastern mine to provide coal. So, you're out those two trains per month. Fared better than the western supplier, who instead of shipping 4 trains a week for the plant will now be sh...
