Welcome aboard. I am really ticked now. My boss yanked my vacation day for Saturday on Wednesday afternoon. Good weather, for the season anyway, and a great turnout.

Good to see. I just saw last week two cars coming from opposite directions almost meet each other going around the crossing gates on Woodward Heights in Ferndale. The second car got missed by one of the Wolverines by no more than ten feet.

The two of them will probably be twenty one before they see another train.

You will see GTW units on road trains and yard jobs over the old Chicago Central with some regularity if you ever get that way.

Hey ConrailJon, I get your point. I am sure the screeners at RP.net shake their heads every day at some of what is submitted. I just have two bones of contention to pick with them and I will not back off. First, I have a host of shots rejected because they are not brightly lit. Not all of us live in...

I knew there was coal in them thar hills, but had no idea it was that much. Learn something new every day.

Suggestion: Contact one of the miners unions. They will share such info.

Some of what was said is true, but a better system that received it's share of funding would cure many of those ills. Some cities need express service on one or more trains. One of the three Wolverine trains should board in Detroit and not pull into a station until passing Roosevelt Road.

I've seen the Squaw Valley once before, then looked at the other pictures. If it is a model, which I do not think it is, kudos for a great job on the whole picture and details. Look at the ties and the high tension tower in the background. As for the lighting, between photography lights and photosho...

I just commented about railpictures.net a moment ago on another post before clicking on this one. I want to know who they are trying to fool when their site claims RPElite membership does not get you preferential screening. Bull Plop!

I've had it with railpictures.net. They are full of you know what stating that RPElite does not entitle you to preferential screening. I will be darn if I relent to their extortion. The pictures are, for the most part, outstanding. A closer look of just about every page of 15 will find a minimum of ...

Misc photos from 01/02 and 01/03

I was all over the place on last Tuesday and Wednesday running errands. I had some time to pop a few shots. Some good, some, well... Anyway, this is my first go at this. Hope you enjoy. Hope to have more and better in the near future. First shot is at Milwaukee Junction. http://railroadfan.com/galle...
