Yes JT, the #2665 is in the new "dark Future" scheme. The old Gray, blue, and yellow was YN2,a nd the Gray with light blue lettering and areas was YN1. She looks great though... they always do a good job with their Geeps.

Kinda crazy for AMTK to help a competiting company. Maybe when the new service is up, AMTK might pull the Wolverines...... its worth the thought. But, why use AMTK equipment? Why not get an E8? MARC has 2 or 3, 1 of them ex-PRR, and the Other ex-IC used on the C of NO train that was last run by IC. ...

Junkie. If you have never been out in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area, the track is all single due to the Huron River. It is double tracked East of US-12 bridge into Ypsilanti and its single with passing sidings all along til' Kalamazoo.

This maybe true. But, it still is a little nightmare for NS. NS really hates having to "dodge" the Wolverines. They block up a lot NS traffic east of Depot Town (Ypsilanti). Not to mention why can Michigan Services not get better Amtrak Service? We really need better locomotives than the NPCU's (cab...

Ok, actually, I have a few questions on Coe Rail.

>Now, I know that Coe Rail is a dinner train. Does anyone have a roster list for their locos and coaches?

> Who owned the branchline before them?

> Where does the branch end? (Begins in Novi)

> Who would replace the track?

I haven't seen an IC in I can't tell you when. Saw 1 several years ago, on an NS hot shot.

Yeah, it would be nice to see one of those. I saw a AMTK GE unit on one of the Wolverines last year.... it looked great. Now, we just need to rid of all those NPCU's. I like a cabbage as much as the next guy, but they are getting annoying. However I do approve of their Phase 5 scheme. Looks nice. By...

New detroit Commuter line?

I know there has been talk on a new type of Commuter line existing to possibily replace Amtrak between Ann Arbor, Metro Airport, and Detroit. What do you all think of this? Could it happen? What roads (class 1) would participate?

Weekend Rail report

Thought I'd post what I'd seen this past weekend. So first off....

CEFX leased in the Southern side of Oakley Yard. Single unit.

also caught the last 10 cars of a CSX mixed drag at the Inkster Rd. crossing in Livonia. Signals were red westbound.

Well, it will be interesting, since this is a main artery to Plymouth Diamond. And yes, let's get those signal mast pics before those are cut down just like they did at Newburgh Rd. for that project. The MOW might be already down in oakley yard (alongside I-96) saw some stuff there 2 months ago, and...

Well, its not hard to find another way. MDOT I heard will partially help to build the bridge. The other part CP/CSX MUST do it. CSX and CP both put up a good fight. Plymouth citizens won in the end. They will pretty much follow the same procedure as for the Newburgh Rd. Bridge on the Toldeo Div. and...
