Re: CSX Train Location Updates: 3/29/12.
I let the 4433 isolated last night out of Manistee, for fear that if it blew up, I'd have to pay for it.

Re: Rochelle Diamond Lodge... How is it?
You guys are to pampered. Do like the conductors do and wear ear plugs when they sleep on the train. And you don't have to worry about the next signal, banner testing and retarded motorist's when you sleep. Sheesh!

Re: Too many rail trails?
In about 10 years, the line from Baldwin to GR will be a great trail for the hardy work out. Up hill, down hill, up hill and down hill at the same time. Make sure you have good brakes for Kopje, Newaygo and Comstock Park.

Re: RailAmerica buys Marquette
Thanx for your input Doc. It's nice to see some one Pro MQT that has insight. I would have been nice to have you up there. You could be the transportation coordinator instead of a certain used up yardmaster. As for any track being relaid. Come on people, This is Michigan and RA on top of that. We ri...

Re: RailAmerica buys Marquette
To put an end to this. The reroute was shot down by Stronch and Filer City. The Clanny Gun Club didn't want tracks rebuilt on the edge of they're property. So because of the NIMBY's on the south side of the lake, we still have to deal with a bridge that is in dyer need of replacement and the bed wet...

Everything that was once cool and fun, now suck's. In twenty years, I'll bet the track ends at Newaygo.

Brakey. I've been watching the Watco site real close. Look's like GDLK is hiring more often than not. Can't you guy's keep people? As for the car fleet's out there, Lotta cars got one foot in the grave. MQT has a run down collection of PCA boxcar's leased from GE. CSX has car's out running around ol...

Re: An "Are You Serious" Moment: 189 Car MQT Z151
Hey MQT 3001. I don't know where you get your info from sometimes. We went to Newaygo, pulled just north of the pass and cut off the grain train. Pulled up to the next crossing after hanging another eot on the rear, then cabbed back to Newaygo to grab the museum piece "4433" and then spotted the tra...

Thanx for clearing that up Bob. I still have to plant 290,000,000,000,000,000,000 tree's on the layout before July.

Re: Marquette Rail Sixth Annual Santa Express!
At this point, any paint on the 02 would be good. I have backed off on the Milw scheme though. It is still very much a CP unit and would look better orange with a PacMan, or the red twin flag's scheme.

I heard the plan was to use the 3002 this year. Maybe Santa can pull a sand blaster and some paint out of his bag.

I see no one has said anything about MQT's Sparta local that's on all week. It only took two years of poking and prodding and a lot of complaining to get the thing put on. You people are slipping. Bad Foamer's! On duty at 08:00 in Sparta. Get with the program people.

Re: What If?......
I have two things I might go to. One would be the CP in the late 90's between Pigs eye yard in St Paul down to LaCrosse WI. I still love all those Sd40's of the CP, SOO and lots of rent-a-wrecks. Many Milwaukee units still floating around too. The other would be going back and modeling the WC from F...

Still doing the Milwaukee Road in 1974 in Montana and Idaho. Little Joes and SD40's rule the roost. Working on boxes of trees in my spare time in Baldwin. Some day I might have a moment at home and plant them. Until that time, the layout awaits my return. At least I hope it duz. Haven't seen it in a...
