Re: The Very Last Pontiac for the U.S. Market

Mike, I would be very surprised if the equipment from OK city is not already outdated, the technology in paint is moving that fast. By the time they could move it up here and get it set up with that cost incurred , it is probably more cost effective to just use that money and put it toward a state o...

Re: The Very Last Pontiac for the U.S. Market

yes , mike the paint shop needs to be rebuilt. I spent my first 4 years there (83-87) and my last 9 (97-06) in the paint shop as a pipefitter. My understanding, from other railfans, was that the old diamond had a speed limit of 40mph. Anyone know what the new speed limit will be?

Re: Durand Diamond pics

one question abouts OWLS that will show my stupidity. Doesn't the flange of the wheels riding up and over the main rail cause a groove to eventually wear into the high speed rail? Or does it take so long that it is considered insignificant?

need help - N scale layouts

who makes the N scale layouts that are made of hardshell plastic, about 3'x5', a couple different themes. All you do is add track and scenery. I thought it was woodland scenics but I can not find any. I want one to make a Christmas theme.
Thanx
