Re: Random Thoughts
Anybody ever wonder what the guy that came up with "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck wood?" was smoking when he came up with that?

500 miles
Would you rather drive 500 miles to see a dumb train or drive 1 mile to a girls house and see a nice pair of boobies?

Re: PM 1225 Running at Howell Melon Festival, Aug. 20-21
Yes the line is rated for 40 mph freight class 3 track but with the lack of certain electronic and ultrasonic testing the passenger speeds are limited to 25 mph. If enough revenue could be made to justify and pay for the testing the line would be good for increased speeds. Once (if) WALLY gets off t...

Re: PM 1225 Running at Howell Melon Festival, Aug. 20-21
All occupied passenger movements on GLC are limited to 25mph because of the type of inspections they do and don/t do. To get higher track speeds for passenger you'd have to do different rail integrity testing.

Re: PM 1225 Running at Howell Melon Festival, Aug. 20-21
Why set up a costly computer software program for ticket sales, have to maintain it and then employ more workers to maintain the system and answer phones? The technology is already in place and works. If a few dollars in ticket fees makes you not buy tickets maybe you don't have as much money as you...

Re: PM 1225 Running at Howell Melon Festival, Aug. 20-21
remember when complaining of ticket fees.... If everyone uses the "buy at the train option" trips can be cancelled for lack of advanced sales and the operator thinking they wont be able to make money or at least break even. It already happened this year when 765 didnt get enough ticket sales to just...

Re: 2nd Annual RR Fan Bike Tour
As a side note: Anyone that has the evening of Friday the 12th open we are doing a pub crawl/bike ride in Owosso. We start at 7pm and casually ride around Owosso and Corunna bar hopping. No serious mileage (usually 7-10 miles) but a fun way to ride with 50-100 riders and enjoy an evening. Also on Sa...

Re: Train Excursions....
Where or who do I get train excursion tickets in the Ohio or Mid west area? My dad use to get tickets when I was younger. We rode behind the 611 and I think the 765 back in the day. Thanks in advance! A good bet would be to figure out what train you wanna ride, then figure out who operates it and t...
