GLC nortbound video clips
Here are a few short clips I shot this morning in Cadillac and Manton. The first couple are in Cadillac and then heading north through Manton with plastic loads for Mancelona and/or Petosky. I didn't chase them that far so not sure where all the cars ended up. It was a very snowy day in northern Mic...

Re: GLC TC update
I cross the tracks that go to williamsburg on my way to work, and I havn't seen evidence of a train in weeks. Snow banks still cover the tracks even after getting some rain and losing lots of snow. I know they have been to Traverse alot lately so I have been suprised they havn't been out that way.

Re: Someone Order GP35's???
Thats a nice fleet. Did athearn release a blue box TSBY GP35? Or are those custom painted? The blue does look a bit better on the older units.

GLC Fife Lake
The GLC came north through Fife Lake this morning with one tank car for Kalkaska, one cover hopper and one GP35 running long hood forward. Pretty short train, but it was fun to watch him cutting the fresh snow we got last night. I only got a couple snap shots with the film camera so no pics yet. Kyle

Re: Another late evening train in Traverse City
I saw the GLC going south through Fife Lake(the Petosky branch) with one hopper and about four tanks. This was around 6pm. I wonder if they left the TC cars at Walton Junction and then headed to TC or if there was a seperate train on the TC branch. I believe GLC 390 was pulling the train I saw. If t...

I think when they pull the plow north it is all lined up to push south, no need to run around.Don Simon wrote:If GLC is plowing going southbound, did they pull the plow north then run around it before pushing it south?

Re: GLC through Fife Lake
Glad you enjoyed the video. I could be wrong but I think the speed limit on this stretch is 40mph. There is another grade crossing just past the one I stopped at, hense the horn blowing.
