Re: Operations of N&W Tecumseh Branch
I’m looking at a topographical map from 1975 and it shows that only the Detroit Toledo and Ironton and the Penn Central served Tecumseh Michigan. The DT&I section from Adrian to Tecumseh was sold to N&W in the late 70's when the rest of the DT&I branch east of Tecumseh and south of Adrian was remov...

Will be bringing some old Track Charts for the GTW (cira 1920 to 1940) and CN (2002 to 2003 Maintenance Program book) if any one wants to take a look. Also have an Extra copy of Model Railroader Industries along the track 2 which i'll let...

Re: CR Terminal East Industrial Track Customers
I have been trying for the past 5 years to get a log-in for the "other site" and still to this day i have never gotten a reply. I prefer this board by a long shot, as the posts don't fall into the abyss of the net to never be seen again. Was trying to do some research on a old junction in Trenton. T...

Re: NS Boat Yard Abandonment
Sad to see this line falling to the wayside. These tracks east of DelRay where at one time the busiest rail in Detroit. 4 main lines with the center 2 for heavy passenger service from the Wabash, Per Marquette(C&O), and the Pennsylvania railroad. The line in 1936 had well over 45+ customers with int...

Re: Track Work On the dearborn Sub
Its all for a reason... Stay tuned ;) Are they going to sell it or is there a large increase in traffic coming? I doubt its for sale. CN's theory is if they can operate lines more effeciently than someone else they might as well keep it. That's why they acquired quite a few new lines the last 10 ye...

Re: Track Work On the dearborn Sub
Yeah i also noticed looking south from pen rd. there appears to be a new siding on the east side of the main, Checked Goggle earth and didn't see it. Granted goggle earth has not been updated in a while. I know over the last few months the fully replaced the grade cross at pen rd. Now has full gates...

Just a heads up. Cn is doing major work on the dearborn sub. Saw a whole lot of mow eq. working south of Pennsylvania Road today. Also they have been upgrading and replacing all the grade crossing on the line.

Re: C&O mileposts to Traverse City....
If you take the map posted on the 1st page and use google earth line function. From Baldwin to Kaleva is about 36 Miles. ( following the Old Row) Taking the Mile Post at Baldwin of 73 1/2 Miles The route comes out to 109 from GR Then take the Kaleva 132 from the Map on the first page, minus that fro...
