Re: Huron And Eastern
I saw HESR building their train in Pigeon last night. The CMGN 2014 and the CORP 3826 were putting together a string of covered hoppers. They dropped part of the train on the east side of town next to Blue Diamond Steel Castings. That string had four scrap gons from Tower Automotive in Elkton. When ...

Re: Frankemuth question
Tony's is very good. I have downed the BLT twice. Your mouth will get tired chewing all of that bacon. Another Man Vs. Food moment can be had at Tiffany's in Frankenmuth. They have the a burger called the TC Pounder IIRC. My friends didn't think I could eat the whole thing. I finished it in under 5 ...

Re: Whats Going On In Hemlock?
Hey Don, do you glow in the dark too? I also have enough DDT in my system to kill any mosquito that dares to take a drink, and with all of PBB in me, I can work in the steel mills without protective gear because I will never catch on fire.

Re: Whats Going On In Hemlock?
I grew up in St. Louis and watched the end of Michigan Chemical/Velsicol. I remember begging my mother to rush across town at the sound of a a train just to watch it cross Mill St. I also remember sitting in my babysitters yard and waving to many a train as it crossed Clinton St. There were also the...

Re: weathered TSBY GP35
Amazing! :D It looks really good. I also like the pictures with the natural backdrops. O Gauge Railroading magazine did a series of articles on taking pictures of model trains with realistic backrounds such a grain elevators, coaling towers. It would be cool to see pics of that model with some GLC c...

Is anybody heading to the Great Train Expo in Novi this weekend? Just a heads up, there is a horse expo there this weekend also. It may smell a little like the Lansing show.

Re: car ferry slip
Model Railroader Magazine: Model Railroad Planning 2005 This issue had a large article called Michigan Car Ferry Operations PP. 16-23. The article discusses Arnt Gerritson's HO layout of the Ann Arbor ferry yard/docks in Frankfort. I can loan it out if you need it.
