it all depends on how much power they use, you might wanna try switching the wires.... also read on the directions on how the max power ration for them... if its says on there. i dont use ac for my lights....

you might of burned them out, all depends on how you hooked them up to your power pack, also you might have them wired backwards..

hey aarr, what did you do too ur 2-8-2 locomotive too solve the problem? i have a newer athearn rs-1 with the same problem.... too light and not a good puller. its runs good.
