Can any one here tell me about the Marquette Railroad's operations.

I have a cottage up north and we drive through Ithica everytime we go there. We have seen the new plant being built. The GLC (ex-tsb) track runs right by there. Last time I went up I saw GLC building some sidings and re doing the track near the plant. I wonder what will happen now

Just like Greeg said it is owned by Norfolk Southern and it just used to serve some local industries last I heard they only run a train on this track once every 6 weeks

Its their fault in the video the police said the lights and gate sounds worked fine and the train blew the horn.

Also on friday I saw a rare engine in the NS Saginaw Yard. It was MCM industrial service engine owned by the company that is tearing down GM lansing. If you wernt familar with this yard their are some tracks that run back into the plant. This engine takes gondolas back into the plant and loads them ...

Not going to happen, Their isnt enough people that would ride it and Traverse City deosnt want to grow it sounds crazy but its true. Why do you think the ended the cruse ship service that went there.

ya that part of town has really been trashed by people i think its mainly beacuase it runs through a lot of neihborhoods in that area

Im not sure why they were their but im going to guess. They were probably there beacuse of a group of suspicious trespassers or something like that. But I could be way off just guessing.

On mothers day I swung by the norfolk southern saginaw yard (in lansing mi). The yard was normal no big updates. NS is still storing those NS boxcars and NW coverd hoppers there. Surprisingly their werent even mow trucks or people there. NS Lansing south yard is just storing some boxcars nothing new...
