Check out NS's website. www.nscorp.com and click on Careers and it's pretty self-explanatory. Most of the hiring is done through classifieds now. Be prepared to not have a life if you go into T&E service on a class 1.

Depends on the locomotive if all wheels are flanged (steam). 1225's are all flanged.

Hmmm, selling all the 35's? I heard from an employee that they are just getting two 38's, nothing about getting rid of the 35's. Better tighten down the rumor mill.

I used to work with Johnny Benson's dad. He was a Conductor working out of Grand Rapids. NYC-PC-CR-NS. Great guy to work with, once you got used to his ways.
