Re: Napoleon, Defiance and Western: The Definitive Thread
The line is the oldest line across Northwest Ohio. As soon as the line from Montpelier to Fort Wayne was built supplanting the old Eel River line the line was downgraded. It has been a secondary (or worse) line for basically 100 years now. To think that it is around at all is pretty amazing. It was ...

Re: Trucking business is delivering chilling news about the
Not sure how badly things suck in Michigan...I know they normally do. But employers here in Northwest Ohio cannot get enough people to fill all the open positions around here. The sales at my plant are through the roof, automotive is moving at a rate I haven't seen since I started working there in 2...

Re: Napoleon, Defiance and Western: The Definitive Thread
You are incredibly underestimating how bad the track was if you think nothing has been done to improve the line. Quite literally the last company to do any real maintenance to the line was the Wabash.

ND&W has there own crews, they don't jump to thew MSO operations normally. Most of the guys came over from the MAW. The ND&W has as many as three crews working somedays, a much busier operation than the other MSO properties.

Re: Napoleon, Defiance and Western: The Definitive Thread
They may not start in Napoleon either. A lot goes to and from Woodburn now. Depending on your direction just start on 24 and go either east from Woodburn or West from Napoleon. Aside from in Defiance, Antwerp and Napoleon, the track is very visible from Parallel 4 lane US 24. You'll find them eventu...

Re: 38 & 39E coming off April 16
It seems like the local runs the line to Mac steel/ Gerdau Ameristeel Worthington 2x a day Monday - Friday. late morning then again about 4:30- 5:00 pm. Gerdau looks like they still ship steel dust. Omni source has switches both both ways so the local maybe takeing these cars to mac steel to runaro...

The left sucks balls, the right sucks balls. Technology has now reached a point where with the new Tesla home battery you could totally live off grid with solar with no issues at all and the newest Tesla car has a 240 mile range that can be charged with the same system. We are stupid idiots if this ...

Yeah well I don't build and work on stuff all day as my employment and then come home and go to forums about building and working on industrial machinery and then play with toy presses, forklifts, robots or welders only to go to work tomorrow to build and work on more machinery... lol

So you guys all know. Be wary of this guy. CsxNSrailfanner or whatever whomever the OP is sent me a threatening PM referencing my photography, my home right down to the address and neighborhood, my camera, photography skills and my anal cavity. Be wary of this guy. I was very close to reporting thin...
