Thanks guys,
PW, If someone made a GP35 then I'd already have an AA.

Re: Finally got to work on another car
Don, Thanks, I was on the fence about what road name I was going to put on this car.....I think you would have liked the very close second choice I was going to make. I have drawn up the decals for this scheme.....If I get another car this is what it's going to be...what do you think? http:/...

Finally got to work on another car
Hey guys, So, here's another 1/29 scale model. This one is actually a resin and 3D printed kit. I was lucky enough to get one from the guy before the 3D printed pieces tripled in price :( Anyway, it's a Pullman-Standard PS2CD 4427cuft Hopper. I used my laser cut roof walks and scratch built the trou...

Airslides in Michigan - Where?
Hey all,
Does anybody know where or who gets 50' airslides here in Michigan?
I'd like to do a research mission in the future.
Thanks,
Brian B.

Re: Penn Central N9 Transfer caboose model
Thanks guys,
I had fun on this project. I learned a lot during the build. I even stepped out of my comfort zone and had the walkway grating laser-cut out of .04 styrene.
Very satisfying,
Brian

Penn Central N9 Transfer caboose model
Hey guys, Well it's been a while since I've scratchbuilt a model. I've been working on this one for well over a year, but at this point I'm only a couple whistles, hoses, cut levers and brake links away from it being complete so I thought I'd post a few pics of it. It's 1/29 scale. Although I model ...

Re: Working on the MAL
Michael, I always thought it was a bit egotistical.....how many railroads are named after people? Not many....usually named by the places they go between or thru. Speaking of dinner trains.....which I generally dislike....I liked the Coe Rail early on because it wasn't a dinner train.....just train ...

Re: Getting into G Scale- Welcome to the LGC&W
James, Welcome to 'G' scale. It sounds like you'll be doing the 1/29th scale version of 'G' scale. My first extended vision caboose was a red NW that I modified and painted for DT&I. If you like scracthbuilding then you'll enjoy that....I have scratchbuilt quite a few items and have been gaining exp...

Re: PC N9 Transfer caboose
James, I've been wanting to make one of these for a long time - since I used to watch them go past my Grandfathers farm in Ottawa Lake, MI. I didn't have drawings although there is a set in an old RMC - that's info I discovered after having started my own drawings. As it happens I went with my wife ...

Coe Rail...the first week
Yes, the first week the Coe Rail was a freight only business. I took this picture during the first week #105 was on the property. It's the only piece of equipment on the property when I took this pic. The red sports car was Larry Coe's car. Enjoy! Brian Briggs http://i1044.photobucket.com/albums/b45...

Re: Aristo-Craft G
A No. 1, What era are you going for? That will shape some of the answers you seek. MTH is 1/32 (that's standard gauge for No.1 gauge track). If you want a GP9 then you'll have to buy a USA Trains GP7 and modify it. Although USA Trains calls there engine a GP7 and GP9 in reality it's a GP7. They call...
