Re: Consumers Energy vs. CSX
You guys are trying to estimate how many trains a year, so hopefully I can shed some light on the matter. Consumers leapfrogs their trains, accepting a loaded one day, and sending another back the next on week days. There are 260 weekdays a year, so they send out about 130 trains and receive 130. Co...

Testors has printable decal paper. http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/cle ... er-995571/ The paper works by being printed, but it does need a clear coat over top.

Yea, that broke didn't it. Anyway, I still have to upload the perspective from the back of a train. I have it recorded, just not uploaded.

Looking back through the thread I see the request for a train ride. So, here is a ride behind my K4s locomotive #5442 (the camera doesn't fall at 3:something. Ignore that). I use a Sony Action Cam stripped of the waterproof shell, and st...

Re: Don't railfan in Delray unless you have a weapon
I have family in Detroit, but still. Some area of Detroit aren't great. And in some places it may look ok and turn ugly. I wouldn't railfan in Detroit proper, but hey, that's just me.

Re: Don't railfan in Delray unless you have a weapon
That neighborhood is bad. Carrying anything, unless it's a friggen grenade launcher won't help. I personally subscribe to the "If railfanning in a questionable area have someone around with a gun" but I still will try to avoid said areas. I would find somewhere else that has a good location to railf...

Re: In memorandum RIP MM #24
Good. Means it'l still be around to take measurements for my ride on GP. Any idea when it's leaving GR? Also, any idea on what power may be coming in for the 3885?

Looking at the first video I still say we need to get the D&GRW F3s on point on that train.

Re: PM 1223 / 1225 Parts
Last time I was up to see it when they have their open house, 1223 was missing some cab controls. Other than that, looks like most of the parts are there, but I don't know if they were original or not. The main thing I am curious about though is the front truck, as it states in the article 1225's ha...

PM 1223 / 1225 Parts
A while back I found a article that was quite interesting stating some of 1223's parts were used on 1225. I hear that some of the parts were placed back on 1223, but I would like to know what percentage of 1223's parts are still on 1225? Also, here is the article in question, http://www.farmcollecto...

Yea, as my understanding goes though they don't own the old factory area. Just the track shops, and a easement.

Well I got a good look at 24 today. It looked like it had some components removed from the brake rigging, and it looked like parts were being messed with.

Re: Bachmann DCC motor question/issue
I had 2 bachmann units do this. However, I fixed the problem with DH163 decoders. One thing I notice though, is that they work on some systems. Have you tried a few controllers to break it in?
