Was there ever much more business east of Winchester? I'm talking years ago. Always surprised there wasn't more lumber activity on the line. That's really the only industry in the region. Lots of timber sawn in Peebles and trucked down 32.

When did Clermont Steel Fabricators stop using their siding?

The Plum Run gravel is going to the Ready Mix concrete plant in Sardinia. CCET can charge their own rate, since it is not interchanging with NS. This is to start, hopefully, in the first quarter of 2017. If this is true, how do they plan to offload? Sardinia Ready Mix doesn't have a spur. Did that ...

Anybody know any dealers in scrap rail track around the Cincinnati region? Need around 50 feet minimum for balasting farm equipment and other jobs. The line from Sardinia to Mowrystown is no more. They removed the RR bridge over Rt. 32 just outside of Sardinia last year. The only way they have rail service to Hillsboro again is if they rebuild the old line from Blanchester to Hillsboro ..... Which will never happen. I know they had pulled it u...

Does anybody have some background on the Peavine branch to Hillsboro/Mowrystown? I know the Hillsboro to Mowrystown section was pulled up quite a while back. The Mowrystown to Sardina portion stayed active until relatively recently. We occasionally hauled grain to the AGP elevator back before Cargil...
