Re: CN Updates- July 2019
As of 14:50, a probable M382 is NB between Milwaukee Junction and Forest Lawn. It'll probably meet L533 at Mount Clemens. There is a SB stopped at Aubin that came through Mount Clemens sometime before 14:00. The SB is likely waiting for Amtrak to turn north on to the Holly Sub.

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
From ATCS, at 1:18 AM, it looks like a local train is on the siding between North Chapman and South Chapman on the Shoreline Sub. I believe there is a spur to a customer that is accessed from that siding. Conrail1 or anyone else, what train would this be?

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
From ATCS, a train (unknown if it is from Toledo or Flat Rock), just left the Shoreline Sub at the electric lock called "South Edison", between Chapman and Rodney at milepost 34.39. Anyone by any chance know what train this might be?

The train with 4 CN worked Durand, so probably was a 505. What looked like 397, with 2 engines, came west after.KC8RBK wrote:397 by cory at 1340. 4 cn. Video when I get home. 933 and 502 here working also

Conrail1,
Federal is south of the Conrail connection at Vinewood, as you mentioned. By any chance, was M382 taking the "old way" through Delray and West Detroit?

I don't think that Google Streetview is available where the unpaved road I'm standing on crosses the railroad.

Re: Where Is It?
This is the intersection of Carpenter Rd and Center Valley Dr, near the I-94/US-23 interchange. This the former ROW of the Detroit, Hillsdale, and Indiana. The location would either be Ann Arbor or Pittsfield Twp.

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
A very late M38261 14 with CN 3043 CN 3080 is at S. Chapman. I saw this train coming north on ATCS, and it looked like it may have met two southbounds, one at Greenings and the other at Chapman. Do you know, by any chance, what these southbound trains were? One may have had that PRLX 211 that Manis...

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
Looks like a significant number of trains around Durand right now (19:20). An L505-type train just worked the yard and departed westbound on Main 2 (CN 5714, CN 8904). If I've been following ATCS correctly, M371 just came north from Pitt (where GLC may be waiting), there is at least one (and possibl...

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
A very long NB just went past MP 22.5 powered by two 5700's and a 2100. It was probably close to 150 cars long, all but 19 of them being tanks and covered hoppers. It looked more like a Mt Clemens Sub train than a Holly Sub one. Not one autorack. So I am guessing it was a lingering reroute and not ...

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
Train 514 with 5459 and BLE 878 NB passing MP 22.5 at 9:10 pm working hard up the Hill at 35 mphl with the SD38 really barking. I could hear it coming a mile away. At 9:21 pm right behind 514 is what I presume is 391 (as reported earlier at Milwaukee Junction) passing MP 22.5 NB. Going very slow an...

Possible M391 turning north on to the Holly Sub at Milwaukee Junction at 2009. CN 3143 and CN 3109. Lead engine is stopped on Clay Ave for some reason.

Re: CN Derailment in Port Huron Tunnel
Just prior to 4:00 PM, M384 was the first through the reopened tunnel. This was apparently the train that went up the Mount Clemens Sub a couple of nights ago.

Re: CN Derailment in Port Huron Tunnel
Apparently still a little work to be done. If anyone follows Tim Holmes and his railfan group on Facebook, he is posting regular updates of the equipment (and work trains) going in and out of the Port Huron side of the tunnel.

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
With regard to the BLE engine: When that 504 was going east on Monday, I believe I heard that it was going to work in Lapeer. And maybe it had to go all the way to Port Huron to deliver cars for Lake State there? So that may be why it wasn't in Flint at that time you were there. Anyway, yesterday th...

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
GT 5844 just went SB past MP 22.5 at 7:33 pm with a box, a platform car and a tank, in that order. I presume it is Train 513. The local opened up and disappeared into the spur that serves a customer on Wanda Street, a little north of 8 Mile. It's back on the main now holding up what I believe is M3...

Re: NS Updates - July 2019
288 has NS 8099 (Southern HU ES44AC) leading. Likely still in Ohio right now. From FB, that 288 with the HU is coming east on the Detroit District (Wabash). Didn't 288 formerly use the Detroit Line? 288 will be most likely to use the Detroit District if they aren't assigned any work in Fostoria. Th...
