Re: NS Peavine talk
Anything they have heard is nothing more than round house gossip, speculation, or simply made up. Purina plant is well behind schedule account of equipment shortages (goos old computer chip storage that has everything else f’ed up). It may not come on line until 2023 now. As of right now, CCET does...

Re: NS Peavine talk
Stopped at McDonalds as two NS mow crew were down there picking up lunch. They said most likely from what they have heard when the Purnia Plant opens up late spring NS may be keeping a power in Clare for switching purposes as a good 20 cars or more will be sent back and forth to clare from the CCET...

Re: NS Peavine talk
CCET added 3 locomotives, not 2. Whole roster can be found at homesteadrailgroup.com. Purina might be running by late spring.....of 2023. Plant is behind schedule, a lot of their equipment delayed like everything else in this world. MIGHT see some limited inbound shipments by fall/end of year. No tr...

Re: NS Peavine talk
The GP49s and SD45s never belonged to CCET and have long since been returned to their owners. There are 2 ex NS SD40-2s stored on line for a private owner. Regardless of what the experts have said, they have never been in service or used on CCET and would take some work to get running. At this point...

[quote=AARR post_id=462928 time=1626641036 user_id=19 In the video's all I see are the MP15 and GE. Where are the rest of their engines? [/quote] What other engines are you asking about? There are only 4 - MP15 2414 and B36-7 5857 are the two primary units. B36-7 5895 is laid up for repairs waiting ...

Re: NS Peavine talk
Winchester AG Service is the proper name of the company. Folks on this board just call it the ag for whatever reason. WinAg is how most, including NS and CCET, refer to it as. Flat cars are not for trailers/containers - they are FTTX cars for hauling pickup truck frames. The Class 1s and their empha...

Re: CIND
Better late than no answer - CIND runs a 4pm crew out of Valley Jct OH to Greensburg Tuesday thru Saturday. Assuming they don’t have to go east to dog catch first, they typically arrive at Honda in Greensburg beteen 8PM and 10PM. Spend 2 or so hours putting inbound train away and picking up outbound...

2 yellow and blue ones are out in Washington State. Black one still hidden on line somewhere stored out of service (does not run). Whenever the owner of it needs it, it will get dragged out, worked on to return to service and shipped out.

The old cable pull system still there to. Nothing was ever remove, just buried or over grown. Don’t expect much of that track to be restored to service immediately but it could happen depending on how business grows.

You do realize there still a couple miles of track that goes into quarry at Plum Run. And lots and lots of open ground along mainline owned by Hanson. Don’t think coming up with a loading plan is going to be a problem. Likewise lots of railroad owned or rented ground in Macon for that truck to rail ...

Both groups easy to tune out. Face it, B&O is dead and gone. Can’t change the past. But the Peavine is still there. Fun to stir the pot every so often. But with Peavine being real, there are those morons who think it’s their God given right to trespass to their hearts content. Those are the worst ha...
