I wish I had a staff writer.... make my job a LOT less stressful getting all the necessary paperwork to send out to the photographers :)

2 more spots claimed for the photo shoot. Why must you procrastinate?! Reserve your spot before they are gone!

No, actually the interest has been very steady unlike the Elkhart shoot. And I can understand with the way the economy is, people can't just drop money anymore and plans these days change in an instant.

I hear from those that went to his first production that they had a pretty good time. There was constructive criticism afterwards but from what I could read TW handled the feedback fairly well. When I have talked to TW he acknowledged he would strive to improve the experience next time.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

Still a few tickets left. Prices went up to $65 dollars per photographer today, for our "Night on the Nickel Plate" Photo shoot. If you haven't gotten your tickets, do so before you pay gate prices if any tickets are left!

$65 + the gas to get down there + a night's stay in a hotel room. Yeah, I don't think so, sorry. Good luck with the event James, but I can't see this being worth the cost.

That is up to the individual person. If this stuff is right up your ally, then how can you say this is not worth it? I mean really this is WAY to much for stuff like this.

Here are the photo I did from the first photo shoot at Bellevue, and it was just done with shop lights on stands. No attention to detale about steps or electrical cords ect. Just light it up and shoot.

For the most part both of James operations have been WAY WAY under priced compared to what everyone else doing this is charging, for the same type of service. I'm not saying we are going to be 100% perfect, but we are not charging the same big price everyone else is either, and I don't believe that they are 100& perfect either. We have a group of people that do lighting as a profession, doing the lights, we have other people who are professional's in there own areas helping out in there own way. Not sure why everyone thinks we cant pull this off.

So far everyone that has made jokes about this or have nothing but negative things to say about it, I have not seen them attend the first shoot or even attempt to purchase a ticket to this event. Yet they all have a opinion about it. Honestly if this is not your type of event, then there is really nothing for anyone to say about it other then just good luck. If this is your type of event, then why don't you put your money where your mouth is and actually participate.

When I see the results of this event, then I'll decide whether or not it's worth spending the $$$$ to come to the next one. I'm not spending almost $200+ (ticket, gas, hotel, food, etc.) to drive down and not get my money's worth. I said good luck to James and I really do hope it goes well, I never said he couldn't pull it off.

Matt, I've just been giving James a hard time for the fun of it. I'm sure his event would be something I'd love to experience, but I just can't work it into my time or budget. If the jokes I've directed toward him in this thread discourage anyone from going, then I apologize to James for that.

Saw that cnw8835 cleaned up a bunch of fighting back and forth between a few members overnight. Locking this thread down as it's served it's promotional usefulness.

This thread sucks, locking, thank you, drive thru.
