Z627 left muskegon at 11:00 on the dot today with 3839 and 3885 both running long hood forward. they had with them 3 for bay, 23 from nugent and 7 tanks. (the numbers may be a bit off on the sand / tanks but i got 33 for a car count)

Yes, but you have to have the secret password to see it. Only ~Z~ can give it to you so your chances are very remote of seeing it.

Ask and you shall receive. the lighting is not the most favorable but i didnt feel like fighting unity traffic to get them along shoreline and i was not about to roam about in the heights looking for a well lit intersection so Sternburg was my best option until Grand Haven.

Z627 finished their work at Bay Logistics by 11:15. they went south with 3 boxes and 7 sand cars. 3885 was leading. 3885 and 3839 are back to back tonight. they must have wyed one of the locomotives while working waverly last night.

Because Berry Jct is too convenient to wye power being 5 miles north of North Yard. They could have done it either place...

I was just pointing out that when the train arrives in Waverly they usually go in and out in such a way that they use both legs of the wye, causing the same engine to be leading north as was south. That's what they used to always seem to do, anyway.

Yes, but if they have 2 engines long hood forward, they probably went through the east leg, backed in and then backed out and went through the east leg again going north, swap ends and have a forward facing leader going north. Next day they probably took one up to Berry to spin it. I don't think they are going to waste CSX's time wying power at Wavery when there's a wye at Berry.

Right. I was just saying that with the way the normally run in and out of Waverly, the power is pretty much always wyed, not that they don't use the Berry Junction wye. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

OK. Yes, typically the unit that leads south will lead north. When they swap power around in Muskegon and end up with two units facing the same way, they will wye one of them at Berry. I'm surprised they didn't run it up there and wye before they left town that night.

So, are you predicting this is what will be on the train tonight? Or is this actually the Z627-14 that I shot video of last night? It sure looks like it...
