That looks great! NS now only has 4 locomotives to have finished by July 3rd (just over 11 days from this post)!
I now have a way to get down to Spencer, N.C. for the "Lineup"—I hope it works out well!!!! :D

Best one yet, and I doubt any of the others will top it.

Long live the Wabash!

Wabash looks sharp. Glad they went with the freight paint scheme from the GPs also.

Wabash had no distinction in passenger or freight paint schemes. They were identical. The only variation was the units assigned and built in Canada.

Didn't realize this, must have been alot of Canadian ones, because most of the pictures I have seen were in the scheme with the straight line down the side the coming to a "V" on the noses. Went and looked at many more pictures though online, and seen about a 50-50 mix between the two. Mind you this is from pictures only.

I didn't think I would like it much, but it does look really nice.

Just stumbled across this sweet picture of the PRR, Savannah and Atlanta and the NYC units all together doing what they do best.

Wasn't excited for this one in the beginning, but holy freakin' lord man... I forgot how kick-ass the Jersey Central logo was!

Hood units and Cab units both came to a "V" on the front, passenger Geeps and Freight Geeps, E's, PA's, TM's, and FA's. I guess I am not sure what you are talking about. The long hood end did not have the V, only the short hood end.

Ohhh, that was a completely different scheme applied right at the end of Wabash, both passenger and freight units got it. The GP35's, C424's and U25B's were the only units delivered in this scheme. Also this scheme is the basis for NW Pevlar blue, it's the same blue and Pevlar was pres of the Wabash and then NW after NW took over Wabash, NKP, Ple etc.

Passenger and freight engines never had unique schemes on Wabash.
