CSXT 3201 to 3206 on X37729 bound for avon to be serviced and placed in service. 3200 still shows sitting in Erie

3201 and 3202 on L364-02. POCO wanted sequentially number and back to back for photo op out at Selkirk. 3203, 3204, 3206 to be on Q360-02 for same purpose.

I377-30 has 3200, 3205, 3207, 08, 09, 10, 11, and 13 on it.

Steerable I believe is the main feature, along with a few other things to improve tractive effort/force. This, combined with computers in the cab to control them and extra weight around the engine give them the "H" designation. CSX has ordered every example of the AC GEVO with this package. DCs do not, and use the older-style trucks.

You're thinking of radial steering trucks, which up to this point all AC ES44's have had. These new 3200's have Hi-Ad trucks.

BREAKING NEWS:

Confirmation has been received in the form of a set of photos - that CSXT 4050-4052 have been shipped from MPI in Boise, Idaho. They're enroute to CSX, and will be put into service.

Former numbers are currently unknown. We'll get those out when we can.

4051 says CSXT 8125
4052 shows no record
4053 says CSXT 8198
4054 says CSXT 8211

No clue if that's true just what the mojo wire says.

Sweet, thanks Russ! Tracing confirmed each one, except of course the 4052. We'll have to keep tracing a bit later to find that one out of the group we know went west.

We got behind on the GP40-3s rebuilds, a couple more did come out last month but weren't included in the updates we had, so those will come with the May update.

As far as we know, units out of the shops are now up to these numbers in their respective classes:

GP38-3s to 2019
GP40-3s to 6516
SD40-3s to 4055
ES44AHs to 3218

For those interested, here are the numbers which we KNOW went to Boise for the MPI rebuild. There may be more than this, and the ones Russ mentioned have been removed from this listing, if you're comparing it to anywhere else:

There is no such thing as "they're getting close". It is based on condition I'm sure, but there is little if any correlation between number and condition. Thus, it is pretty much random what numbers go, looking only at the numbers themselves.

Hence, no pattern can be drawn here. Like I've said before: until it leaves, the CSX 8888 is in the deadline for the foreseeable future. Anybody who claims to know what is up with it is likely just blowing crap. Yes, it is LIKELY going to be rebuilt, but nobody (except for maybe a few at Huntington/Jacksonville) knows 100% if, let alone when, that may happen.

Same story applies to the 8318 and 8865, the last YN1 and CR units, respectively.

CSXT 4050-51-52 in Avon. 4050 interchanged at Chicago and made a trip dead to Willard prior to arrival. 51-52 interchanged via St Louis.

Should be placed in service over next day or two?

Got 4530 earlier this month...4526 is new

4526 was involved in a grade crossing wreck in April of 2014. Hit a log truck, damaged the front end pretty good.

3 leased LSRC engines, which had Ben in dedicated service out of Avon, IN, are off lease on the 20th and will be heading back to the LSRC. Rumor has it the newly released 4050-51-52 will take their place as Q644's dedicated power.
