Has there been any changes in the narrowband freq's in south west mich. If so I can't tell that any thing has changed.

I can tell CSX has gone narrowband, everything is a lot quieter on the scanner, gotta have it cranked up all the way now to hear what's being said.

I've only noticed it so far on the dispatcher's radios, and only certain ones at that. For instance the HD dispatcher sounds like they're whispering, but I haven't noticed a reduction in volume on locomotive radios or defect detectors. That's the only one of the Huntington dispatchers that I regularly hear, but I haven't heard a reduction in volume from the radios of any of the Indianapolis, Chicago or Cincinnati dispatchers that I hear.

On the NS side, the Sandusky dispatcher used to sound like they were in an echo chamber. Now you can barely hear them when they talk.
