Hey Brian, now that is awesome. You should write it up and send it in to Garden Railroading as a how-to article.

Ok, well can I ask what you used as a base model or did you find car diagrams?

James,

I've been wanting to make one of these for a long time - since I used to watch them go past my Grandfathers farm in Ottawa Lake, MI. I didn't have drawings although there is a set in an old RMC - that's info I discovered after having started my own drawings. As it happens I went with my wife to Lima this year for her art class and I took a few railfan trips during that visit. As it happens, I went to Delphos,OH and just before I got there, I see an N9 sitting just off the road in a field....next to a TV repair shop. It looked too tempting so I went to the shop and asked if I could take pictures and some measurements. They said "sure" so off I went and took as many as I could. From that I made my own drawing.
