C434? Never existed. Blue? D&M never had a blue Alco.

Do you mean C425? The only D&M C425's they have done is the dark green and gold scheme. They did do the two LSRC repainted blue units also.

Hi all. D&M did have one unit for a short time in blue, but it was not an ALCO unit. It was a GE U23B. Part of the deal that CM put together in ordering some used equipment from GE. These were all ex-MOPAC units. 4502 had the lettering on the cab under the window stenciled for D&M over the top of the original MOPAC circle. I have a photo of it from May 28, 1990 in Bay City, from Dennis Schmidt's collection. I also have another picture of it in Nov. 21, 1996 in Bay City coupled to transfer caboose CMGN1, still in the Mopac blue, but now stenciled for the CM. That picture is from the collection of R. DeClero Jr. I'll try to post the pictures of that unit.
