Lake State Railway color

Unread post by OaklandCountyCustoms »

Hey everyone... as i'm sure most know i'm prepping for a Michigan Shortline collection... LSRC is one of the lines i plan on doing but since i have never seen one in person i am wondering what those of you who have think is a good color match in pollyscale or floquil paints... i've used enchantment blue in the past on other projects but i think that may be off. any thoughts?

Chris

ATSF blue in floquil looks close... still don't think its close enough though.

381 wasn't in my current plans. I was referring to the newer paint scheme with the CN zebra stripes in dark blue and white.

381 is done easly enough with the Atlas model, and some colored decal paper.

Yeah, i don't plan on making that unit though. I'm trying to find a good color match for LSRC blue units... after the D&M paint scheme.

Gots a bunch more of them too. Was inside the shops and got a tour of the yard. Heres one of Forty Six-Nine
ImageWhen I was up there, 381's turbo was off due to a water leak. The unit was supposed to stay around the area so the CMO could keep a close eye on it. 469 is in the process of being sold to a private investor who plans to lease it to grain elevators or similar industrys. Maybe even a short line.
And another shot of 381
