Sweet! AA 7771 to this day still wears it's old AA paint scheme just like the Atlas model. If this model was available in N scale, I would defenatly buy one.
"...and I was in the front and Matt grabbed and pulled my ears from behind me and made horsey sounds."
Of note, Atlas will be doing all 3 AA GP38's. I'm also suprised no one noticed one of the N-Scale announcements this month, CMGN U23B's. 8903, 8904 & 8905.
But I already bought all three of Fred M's old Annie GPs, c'est la vie. But now I don't so bad about missing out on buying the custom painted Big Bertha!

I wont go so far as to call a Epic Fail, but as far as I know all of the GP38's the "NEW" AA ownes, are still painted in that paint, after purchas from CR. The origonal AA did not own any GP38's and as far as I know, none of the GP35's had that paint job, but could be wrong on that part, Chris.

Both are too much money for me
Ouch! Couldn't agree more! Best bet is to see if they make it to E-Bay, I've gotten locos from there, mint for 1/2 to 2/3 the LSRP, only ? is will they make it there.

I think I'll wait until they reissue the 8903 and 8905 in HESR paint.
...or perhaps, patch 'em myself, the way I think they should be patched...

You're breaking my heart, Charles W
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...
And now to compliment the N-Scale CMGN U23B's, Atlas will be officially announcing them in HO scale as well next month. Same 3 numbers, with or without sound. Check the Atlas website for the Fall quarterly catalog for more info. Currently they are expected in June of 2010.
