I've seen that at several hobby shops recently. The remaining Blue Box stock sits on the shelves while they can't keep certain RTR items in stock. I love RTR, it saves me the trouble (for the most part) of getting engines and cars up to snuff, as I am a big stickler for prototypical accuracy. I'll gladly shell out $100+ for an Athearn RTR Conrail SD40-2 with the correct flexicoil trucks, or an Intermountain CN SD40-2W with the correct single lens rear headlight and ditch lights already installed. That is the part of model railroading I'm not great at and don't particularly care for. I can't match the level of quality and accuracy of the RTR stuff nor do I want to try. I prefer to focus on other things like scenery and structures and have the trains ready to go.

Hehehe I know of a hobby shop that has Athearn Gensis, old round house kits Athearn ready to run and a lot of other old stuff you just can't find anymore. The guy was selling RTR Athearn Engines for 60 bucks and Gensis 89.00.
