Ho Bachmann Question

I got a Bachmann Spectrum Engine in need of a new shell. Does bachmann sell just the shells? Can you maybe put an Atherean(sp) shell on the engine? Are any other companies shells compatiable?

First off, what unit is it? You can put Athearn shells on with some modification, Rail Power Proudicts shells can also be modified to fit, but when Athearn bought them, there shell became non existant, altough you can find them on e-bay, and at train shows still. Yes bachmann will sell just the shell, give them a call. If you need the number I can get it quick.

LMAO..I need one of those painted for CSX,would the shells come with all the fancy detail parts as well,or are they seperate?

If you want it you can have it for a swap but the detail job on it is not very good. All the detail stuff is there yes. If your good at fixing things up you should like it. If you want pictures email me at
