Oh, this is bad, bad news - especially for those of us running "Plywood Pacifics" (yet to do any scenery work). I was planning on using real-stone ballast from other suppliers, but Woodland's foliage products are hard to replace. There really isn't anyone in the business state-side, unless Accurail kept their line going. Anyone know?

Outside of those two there's the European manufacturers like Heiki, but imports cost the dollars to match their exclusivity. Ouch...

This is terrible news. Hope things work out for them!

I would venture to guess they had insurance. Dont think it will be the end of the world. May be a year or so before they get back, maybe less.

No responsible business of any significant size operates without it so that's pretty much my thoughts exactly - I figured 6-12 months to get back to full production best case, perhaps a little longer. The main issue will be people making a run on supplies in the short term followed by shortages of products for the next half year to year or beyond.

It's been reported on the Atlas forum that they only lost two of a number of buildings - both manufacturing structures. Their offices, warehouse and other mfg buildings in town were untouched. Any way, it doesn't sound as bad as originally reported in the news.

No word on which products or lines those two lost structures supported, though.

Maybe should think about my planned layout.......it's basically set in a forest. Looks like foliage will have to wait. Hope they can recover....they were one of the best modeling companies

well this will hurt some what, but it will be back soon... also Scenic Express has some better items over Woodland Scenic, but that's more of the turfs & foam products, but Woodland Scenic has great Ballast product....

Guys -

Remain calm. This is not the end for Woodland Scenics. This structure was just one of several they have in the area. Their main warehousing/admin office was unaffected. While there may be some short term supply chain disruptions, and probably only limited to a few sections of their product line, Woodland Scenics is confident on working thru them. They are communicating to the distributors that they are planning on continuing to take and fill orders as usual. They are expecting a fairly smooth transition as they deal with this event.
