weathering with a airbrush

i have a question about what color of paint i should use too weather my black locomotive wth my airbrush... i weather all my locomotives light and some heavy.... well i use polly scale model rr colors, in the past weathering jobs ive used, rust, dirt, black, grey and other colors. what would would be a good color for black loco, thanks Brian
