Trains are rolling!!. still much planning and track work to get done but...freight is moving.

The construction continues. This area to be the "Enfield Switching District" with a 2-track Railroad Freighthouse and 3 or 4 other industries.

here is Enfield now. Added the "Enfield Switching District" which has the K&L freight house Kalamazoo Crane and a lead to Checker Motors. the mainline goes yowards the bottom left crossing the Kalamazoo river.

Image

after crossing the river the line splits at River tower with the double track going to Union Station and the other going to the downtown switching district. the area bottom left is Lansing and the odd shaped building is a "double sided" backdrop.

Image

South Cedar St crossing on the Lansing Man. Railway. the switch er is on the LMR main the foreground track is the Cedar St teamtrack, the track in the back is the PM interchange.

Northend Richland is a crossover that is really 3 locations. "Northend Richland" and "Diamondale" beginning of double track into Cedar St Yard as well as "Vermontville" with the Gates spur. The spur makes the area cramped for handthrows.
Image

so i tried a throwbar extension made out of 24ga wire.
Image

bent to fit under the ties...the mini-dowels hopefully will make a "channel" thru the ballast when laid...
Image

been 2 weeks heavy usage...no problems
